Elevation 5,696 'Great views of the Walla Walla Valley to the west and the Palouse to the north. The lookout was constructed around 1938 and later abandoned. All that's left today is the concrete footings and some heavy guy wire. Cache is located just north of the lookout site.
Cache is an ammo can with the usual dollar store stuff. Best place for parking is at the gravel pile just before the gate on the 6436 Road. There are also a few primitive camping spots available at the parking area. It's a .75 mile hike from the gate to the cache location. Just past the gate be sure to follow the road that angles back to the left. It's an easy walk until the last quarter mile, then it's a steep hike to the summit.
