Let's Tie the Knot
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
We placed this cache as a finale to a weekend caching trip at the coast to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Rocky Creek State Park is a great little park just south of Depoe Bay and in prime whale watching territory. It is also a Golden Anniversary Park. With several picturesque grassy overlooks, this could also be the perfect spot to tie the knot! In fact we have seen several weddings in progress on our frequent visits here.
The cache you are looking for is a small camo container. There is no need to climb down onto the rocks for retrieval, nor should you go beyond the "Danger" sign nearby. You do need to use some caution as you will be close to the ledge where the grassy area transitions down onto the rocks. Please be sure to re-hide the cache as well as you found it and note any condition changes that we might need to be aware of, as the cache is likely to be exposed to some harsh coastal weather. The cache contains Mrs. B's signature hand made treasure hunter's coffee cozy for the first to find, and there's room inside for small tradable items!
Once you make your find, enjoy the view! Seals and whales as well as many kinds of sea birds can often be spotted from here!
Congrats to Bostonmangum for FTF!!
