Geocache Description:

Dionysus (Bacchus) is the Greek God of wine, theater, and fertility. The god who inspires ritual madness, joyful worship, ecstasy, carnivals, and celebration. He also is made out to be a son of Zeus and the mortal Semele.

In Hines Park, Dionysus was dancing with his retinues when he noticed Pan rushing up to him from a distance. Pan was the ugly God of shepherds, flocks, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music. If people didn't pay their tolls to enter into the woods, or littered... Pan and the nymphs would then scare them out.

When approaching Dionysus, Pan seemed bitter and confused. Catching his breath Pan said, "Dionysus, strange people are walking through the woods leaving tolls called 'caches.' I have never seen tolls like this. Can I scare them off like I do with the people who leave litter as their tolls?"

Dionysus laughed and replied, "only if they litter or don't carry litter out of the woods, then yes. These people like to leave tolls called 'caches.' They do this so they may enter into the woods again, and again. Here Pan, I will make a cache just for you, and I will make it how ever you like."

Pan was hopping up and down on his hindlegs. He never had a cache before. He whispered into Dionysus's ear just exactly how he wanted it. So, Dionysus made him a containor with a blue lid. In it, he stuck in a keychain, metal coins, couple of other knick knacks, paper, pencils, and pens. Besides the writing utensils, these people could take anything out of the box just as long as they placed something else in it.

Pan was delighted to recieve his first cache. He hugged Dionysus with tears in his eyes. Pan placed it in his favorite spot. Just far enough away from a nearby blue spruce so pepole wouldn't get needles stuck into their feet. Yet, far enough into the woods so people had a little bit of work to do in order to get to it.

Dionysus decided that he himself would start placing caches into the forest just so they themselves could be as delighted as Pan. So, the Greek God kept on walking into the sunset with his maenads, nymphs, and satyrs placing more caches in the woods.
