Geocache Description:

The cache is located on unnamed peak #4 on the Heart Mountain Loop.

Take the Lac des Arcs exit and park in the Heart Creek Day use area. From here, head east along the Trans Canada Hiking trail. Just past the bridge at Heart Creek, you will need to take the well marked 'Scramblers Route' trail.

The Heart Mountain loop is a beautiful continuation of the scramble to the top of Heart Mountain. After reaching the summit of Heart Mountain, continue S.E. along the ridge on well defined trails. Please check out the other caches along the way!!!

For this cache, you are looking for a large ammo can hidden between a small cliff and a spruce tree. Only 'one big move' is required to reach the cache. Check out the spoiler pic before heading out.

Please be aware that this ridge walk, although on the easy side, requires mountain experience and care. As with any mountain cache, make sure you are prepared. Check out Alan Kane's "Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies" or Daffern's "Kananaskis Country Trail Guides" for further information about Heart Mountain.
