Start by the boat dock. Wear good shoes and long pants. Blaze orange in the fall.
Start at the boat dock. Pick up Double Crochet and The Cove Trail Bridge. The next will be at the 5th bridge on the bridal trail at N 41*28.451' N 079* 46.626. Stop at the bridge to rest-enjoy the peace here. Follow the stream down to the lake. This is my third time trying to find a way to the cove. It is a good hike. I recommend good shoes and pants. This area was hit in a micro burst in '03 so the undergrowth is thick in some places. If you have a horse, ride it in. If you have a boat, even better. The park will permit electric motors only. Kayaks are welcome. There is log book, some swag and 2MR oval bumper stickers.
