December 2011 - A fourth link has now been added to the eastern end of the chain. This is the Withyham Link, which is a circuit of about 7 miles with 26 traditional caches.
The Ashurst Wood Link is the first in a chain of three walks that will meet up, so will be linked together. The others will be the Forest Row Link and the Hartfield Link. Each one can be done separately or you can do two together for a longer walk, or all three for a very long walk.
The Ashurst Wood Link is a circular walk of almost 4 miles, along which there are 15 traditional caches which are mostly micros (no pencils) but there are two bigger caches for your swaps. Parking is available on a lay-by in front of houses on Hammerwood Road, but be careful not to block anyone's driveways. Numbers 1 & 2 and 12 to 15 can all be with a buggy, but the rest of the walk is on undulating and sometimes muddy footpaths.
PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE ALONG ANY PRIVATE ROADS TO REACH ANY OF MY CACHES.
