DESERT OASIS (im back) Traditional Geocache
68gypsy: It is with sadness and a heavy heart that I am removing this cache. I have gifted my jeep to my son and it has encouraged him to get more active in caching but alas and woe I just don't get out in that area anymore. Its been fun and I will re-locate it to a place closer to where I live now where you won't bang up the husbands car. :) Keep on cachin'

This cache was originally placed along my old walking route when I first moved to the high desert. The area was popular with people who wanted to dump their trash. In April of 2009 I hosted a CITO event in conjunction with Hesperia City's clean up day and was very happy with the turn out. The caching community really came together and gave of their time talent and finances to make this a success. Since then the City of Hesperia has built a park and the original cache was archived. I would like to think that the caching community brought this track of land and the possibilities to the attention of the city. The park is still being worked on and the creation of the park ate up my Desert Oasis #2 cache (that was a really cool container too) but the expansion fell short of this cache site.
Contents at time of placement. Log sheet, guitar pick, teeny tiny horse, a Canadian pin, and 5 gold gypsy coins for FTF.
