The holiday season is almost upon us.
At this time of year we have many things to celebrate – another successful year behind us, an upcoming holiday spending time with family and friends, a birth of a baby, a marriage or an engagement. A new house, a new car, a successful 2010 World Cup - but,
let us take time to think of those who are not as fortunate as we are for whatever reason, and in some way, may each of us give something back to them for all the joy we have received this year.
There are many reasons for us to celebrate here in the Western Cape this December.
1: This Event will be one of the starting caches for 2011 TB Race.
2: The Trickies found their 3000th cache are are fast heading for number 4000!
3: Our good friends Team Pooky will be tying the knot on the 12th December and we would love to wish them well before they do.
4: Andre (chicken) will be turning 60 on the 8th. We will then qualify for discounts at certain establishments – a really good reason to celebrate! Unfortunately you will be stuck with us for another 5 years before he retires and we can become professional geocachers!
5: We are hoping that our good friends John-Gill from ‘Down Under’ will be able to join us – you all know their classic caches such as The Da Vinci Code and Training.
6: And just living in this wonderful part of the country is more than enough reason to celebrate!
We will again be at Meerendal this year. This time though we’ll be in the Manor House.
Time: 9am
There is limited seating available – we can squeeze 60 people into the Manor House.
Therefore when you log a ‘Will Attend’ please state the number of people in your party and all their names. There unfortunately will be no room for people whose names are not on the list.
The closing date for logging your ‘will attend’ is 20/11/2010.
The venue has asked for final figures 14 days before the Event.
Last year we made nametags for all of you who attended the Event. Could you please wear these tags to this Event.
We will however make tags for those who did not attend last year.
And if you lost yours, maybe you can twist our arm to make another one!
