Geocache Description:

Denver is a city in Bremer County in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 1,627 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Denver was originally called Jefferson City, but after the Star Mail Route, a mail service provided to towns having no federal service, was established, the town changed its name to Breckenridge. When a federal post office was established in 1863, the name was changed to Denver.

This is a short walk into Brandt park in Denver Iowa which is a beautiful park right on the river which is severly under utilized by the public in my opinion. PLEASE HUNT FOR THIS CACHE WITH A FRIEND. You will need a boost from a friend to find this one and besides if you fall, it would be good to have a friend close by to either catch you or let you fall and drive you to the hospital. As you may have guessed, this cache will require some climbing skills - the kind we develop when we are kids.

There are 2 waypoints to this cache, 1 includes a nice walk over a small bridge and is a good place for picture. Be sure to walk it whichever way you come.

Inside the Cache for the FTF is a travel bug with a very distinct goal - please only take the Bug if you can help it on its way and please try to keep helping the Bug on its way as soon as possible after removing it.

Well done to birgenfamily for the FTF. Middle of the night and in cold weather less than an hour after publication. True dedication.
