How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The Great Central Railway line from Marylebone to High Wycombe was opened in 1906. However this station, originally called South Harrow and Roxeth Station was not opened until 1926, and in 1929 renamed to Northolt Park Station.

Currently this line is operated by Chiltern Railways and trains run to Marylebone and towards High Wycombe and Birmingham Snow Hill.
Wrexham and Shropshire trains from Banbury also pass throught this station, but do not stop here. This service returned in April 2008 after a gap of 41 years.
UPDATE (This service will cease on Friday 28/1/2011 less than 3 years after it was reinstated. The W & S train company have blamed falling customers in the economic downturn for the loss of service)

This cache is situated in very close proximity to Northolt Park Station. This part of the railway is spanned by a footbridge that connects the boroughs of Harrow (North side) and Ealing (South side). If caching with children please take extreme care as the platform and train track is accessible without going through any barriers. However you do NOT need to enter the platform to retrieve the cache, this can be done from the pavement. Parking alongside. The cache is wheelchair accessible from the South side (Dorchester Road).
This station can be very busy at peak times, stealth required.
Please replace exactly as found.
