Geocache Description:

In English: Landmark of the island of La Gomera, where the lovers Gara and Jonay chose to die together than live apart. Legend has it that Gara and Jonay a village on the island of La Gomera (Canary Islands, Spain) lived a beautiful girl, Gara. One day he arrived on the island Jonay, a Tenerife Guanches who crossed the sea on two inflated goat skins. Jonay loved her and she also loved him. However, the relatives were opposed. Both youths fled into the bush, but were pursued. The fans rose to the highest peak of La Gomera, and to be cornered, they took a stick sharpened at both ends and, standing on their chests, hugged each other and died crossed. Since then the mountain laurel is called Garajonay, in memory of two lovers who chose to die together with your life apart. Currently the site is a National Park, National Park Garajonay. The difficulty of this cache is not in finding it, but to escape the "muggles", since it is a very visited luck. Please let us offer your best photo of the place, the best of them all, will be published as the best of the year.
