Whats there to find in Heckrodt

How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This is a field solve orienteering cache so you must start at the posted cords but you will not find a cache there. (but there is an extra compass hidden by the emergency station #, kneel down and its under the lip of the boardwalk, if you do use it please replace before you leave for the next cacher)
Follow the directions below to lead you to the cache. There are 6 stops before the final in which at each one you must take a compass bearing to decide your direction of travel. All bearings taken at trail intersections. Do not count the small dead end trails leading to benches or scenic views, make sure to stop and enjoy them but those are not intersections. The distance between the bearing points varies between short distances to very long ones, but just keep walking and enjoying the views. If you did everything right the final beacon should be obvious.
When you get to the posted cords you will find a sign with the information you need to answer these 2 questions.
Wisconsin wildlife that use wetlands = %
The emergency station # at this location = #
1.) % multiplied by # = The direction you should travel in degrees°.
You will know your going the right way if you cross some turkey tracks.
2.) Once you reach another intersection go 140°
3.) At this intersection go North
4.) Once you reach another intersection go 90°
5.) At this intersection multiply the emergency station number by x11 then go that number in degrees°
6.) Once you reach the last intersection go 90°
At the finals intersection you will come across a sign that will show you exactly where you went. Directly behind this sign is your very large beacon to search for the cache.
When you log the cache, make sure to write about everything you found at Heckrodt. While placing the cache I seen lots of squirrels, a field mouse, a red tailed hawk and even a bald eagle flying overhead.
You can work around the puzzle and skip out on the walk, but you would only be cheating yourself out of a beautiful walk.
Congratulations to Hitwoman for making the 1st ever Muggle B find on 1/11/11 at 1:11 Great stuff!
