Nisangatsu Pass
As this area is said to have had been called also as "Goyogaiyama"
during Edo Era, it was possibly thought to be an important
place
due to its extensive prospect as well as the role to assist
Kiga-sekisho (checking station), which was then under jurisdiction
of Kondo family.
A stroy of origin of the name "Nisangatsu Pass" has it that lord of
Kondo family enjoyed moon viewing when he climbed up the Pass for
inspectiong fort.
