Geocache Description:

[pl] Sladami kolejki Wilanowskiej

[en] The trace of Wilanów queue

[pl] [O budynku i kolejce]
Kolejka wilanowska byla pierwsza podwarszawska waskotorówka. Poczatkowo miala trakcje konna, a letnie wagony przypominaly otwarte wagony tramwajowe. Zatwierdzenie budowy nastapilo w listopadzie 1890 r., zas prace zaczeto w kwietniu 1891 r. Inicjatorami budowy byli: wlasciciel wielu gruntów na Mokotowie Wiktor Magnus, inz. Henryk Huss i Jan Keller. Linia zostala oficjalnie uruchomiona w maju 1892 r. Niebawem kolejka przezyla prawdziwa rewolucje.
Najpierw w czerwcu pociagi dotarly do Powsina (stacja byla ulokowana u zbiegu obecnych ulic Przyczólkowej i Rosochatej ), a nastepnie w sierpniu zaczely kursowac do Klarysewa.

Istniejacy budynek stacji pochodzi z lat 20-tych XX wieku.

[en][The building and queue]

Queue Wilanowska was the first narrow-gauge track near Warsaw. Initially it was a horse-traction, and the summer open wagons resembled trams. Approval of the construction in November of 1890, while work began in April 1891, the initiators of the building were: Victor Magnus - owner of the many land at Mokotow, Eng. Henry Huss and John Keller. The line was officially launched in May 1892, shortly queue survived a real revolution. Traction has been riding since turned into steam. Tests of the locomotive began in August 1894, and in September began to run locomotives from Warsaw to Wilanow. In 1895, the route becomes longer queues. First, in June the trains have reached Powsin (station was located at the intersection of existing streets Przyczólkowa and Rosochata), and then in August began to run into Klarysew.

Initially, the queue in this section was pulled by horses, but soon came, and here steam traction.

The current station building dates from 1920 years of the twentieth century. As in the case of stations in Wilanow his project came from the hand of Constantine Jakimowicz. As the station was used until 1971, when it closed down the queue. Over the years he had various hosts and gradually deteriorated, but not quite long ago a complete renovation and debuted at the post office.

[Cache]

Tiny plastic tube with the magnet, was hidden behind one of the gutters. In the middle only logbook, so please bring something to write.

Because the area is heavily frequented (neighborhood bus stop ), and the post office is using a lot of people. I recommend searching on days off from work early morning or late evening.
