How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Note: as of 2/15/16 there is a new cartridge version 1.4 available on the Wherigo site. Please make sure you use this version as the final location has changed.
I am not going to give away too much but in this adventure you have to travel around the Southern portion of Cedar Rapids helping an abandoned alien collect items to repair the ship. I would prefer you use a bike but a car may be needed.
Please use a GPSr that supports Wherigo as opposed to working it online.
For those of you not familiar with Wherigos the above coordinates will not take you to the cache but to a starting point close to where all the action takes place. If you want to find the cache you need to play the game and finish it to get the coordinates of the cache.
The cartridge can be downloaded from here: The Wherigo site
Please give me feedback as to how things work so I can learn from my errors and make corrections for other players.
Note: This Wherigo was tested with a Oregon 200 and a pocket PC and it worked just fine. (*Thank you so much Repmul for testing this out with me!!!*) It may have issues with other units so to help avoid frustration save the game often. When in doubt on what to do check out the main menu it has your tasks and locations to visit.
Portions of this adventure will take you to city parks and trails please respect the posted hours for entry to some locations. Daytime is always safe and that is suggested.
I marked this cache as wheelchair accessable. The Wherigo adventure can be done in a wheelchair but the final cache location can not, it requires a small amount of bush whacking.
Good Luck and have fun!
