Geocache Description:

With all this warm weather, I’ve been out riding my bike. So I decided to hide a cache in one of my favorite places to take a break on the Schoolhouse Bike Trail. With my Oregon 550T I like to take a picture of where I hide a cache in case I forget where it is. So when I hid the cache in Horseshoe Lake State Park, I took a picture of the cache. However, when I got home I discovered I forgot to mark a waypoint for the cache. So I decided to make it a ? cache and let you find the cache with nothing but the picture. (visit link)

You can easily access this nice place from a bike, on foot, on in a car. You can easily find the cache with nothing but your GPS and the picture. Nothing in the cache description is needed or will help you find the cache. The only thing I have done to the picture is crop it so this site would not mess with it. Besides getting lucky, there are 2 ways you can find the cache with nothing but the picture. One way anyone with a computer can use. The other way requires a newer GPS like an OR. Besides showing you a nice spot for a break, I also wanted to provide those with newer GPSs an opportunity to use one of its features.

If you want to do this on bike, here is a nice place to start from: N38 41.301 W90 00.682 There is usually lots of wildlife on the lake. I like to take a break here to watch the wildlife.

This cache is placed on Illinois Department of Natural Resource (DNR) managed property. Thanks to James Gowen for approving the cache. Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items, inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials. It is the visitors responsibility to orient themselves with policies and rules pertaining to this DNR managed site. NOTE: the park closes at 10 pm.

Bring your own pen.

If you want the solution, it is in the hint. If you want to try to figure it out with just a nudge in the right direction: What is the difference between a picture taken with a GPS enabled camera and a regular digital camera?
