Geocache Description:

Cammo plastic peanut butter jar NOT at the posted coordinates, which are a good place to park. Do not park on the highway.

Near border line between Lynchburg and Campbell Co., on a hill.

Placed in honor of the approaching pi-day on 3/14 (March 14), (visit link) but actually hidden just after Presidents day, while looking for another cache.

Cammo plastic peanut butter jar.

For FTF - $5 Presidents cash - where's George on Abe's bill.

Has pencil stub, sharpener, cold pad, towel.

Given:

Point 1
N 37° 22.178 W 079° 08.507
Point 2
N 37° 22.185 W 079° 08.523

Given 2 points (on a plane, or hilltop, as the case may be), there are 2 other points that form 2 equilateral triangles (3 equal length sides, 60 degree interior angles) with the first 2 points.

So now in theory you've got 4 points, not too far away from 5-points by the way, but you're going in the wrong direction because you only need 1 point to find this cache. How to eliminate 3 points to find the 1? Speaking of 3, did you know that pi was once approximated by 3? That's less than 5% off, which is close enough for some things, even today really.

Speaking of close enough, if it were me, and it recently was, I'd just go there and look around. The 2 points I gave you should drop out of the running without any effort; they're too close to where muggles would go. Then the right spot might appear obvious to you; it did to me, in winter anyway. If not, you could use the 50 50 90 rule - when there's a 50 50 chance, 90% of the time you'll guess wrong, so don't use your first guess of the remaining 2 points. But, to make it easy after all the geometry work, the hint is a spoiler.
