How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
THE COORDINATES ABOVE WILL BRING YOU TO A NATURE SIGN THAT WILL HELP YOU FIND THE CACHE CONTAINER, WHICH IS LOCATED NEARBY (approximately 50 feet away). USE THE CLUES BELOW TO RETRIEVE THE CACHE CONTAINER.
CLUES: Go to the posted coordinates where you will find a nature sign. “Look up” the title of this cache. The information map sheet on the bench will come in handy. When you find the cache name on the information map, proceed to that area and the cache should be just below. You are looking for a small lock ‘n lock container.
THERE IS NO NEED TO BUSHWACK TO THE NATURE SIGN. The trails are windy and it may seem like you are veering away from the cache, but please stay on the trails. We suggest you follow the signs marked, “Selleck’s Trail to Arched Bridge.”
SUGGESTED PARKING is at N41º 04.827 W073º 27.544 on Parklands Drive. You will be driving through an Office Complex. The parking for the preserve is located at the very end. (There is also parking at the South Entrance – Little Brook Road.)
Selleck’s Woods is a “secret little gem” that we discovered in our early days of geocaching and why we were drawn to geocaching in the first place. This preserve is a beautifully-maintained sanctuary we never would have known about, if not for geocaching. Enjoy a short hike to a charming area with some delightful surprises.
