How Geocaching Works

This cache is hidden in Taxter Ridge Park Preserve. Open from dawn to dusk.
Taxter Ridge is considered the "Gateway to Westchester" and is the largest undeveloped tract of land in Southern Westchester County. As we’ve discovered, it’s also one of the best kept secrets in Westchester. There are several access points, but only one is the official park entrance located at the end of Sheldon Road with room for just a few cars.
This, the last cache of the loop, is located on an unmarked abandoned road. Continue down the road back to the parking area.
The large No Trespassing signs that you will see refer to the land West of the road.
DO NOT DRIVE UP THE PRIVATE ROAD!
