Geocache Description:


Nivaagaard Teglværk (Nummer 1 i serien om smalsporede jernbaner)

Teglværket stammer helt tilbage 1770. Den nuværende ringovn er bygget i 1870 og er åbnet for museumsgæster. Ligeledes er bibeholdt en del af produktionsanlægget. Tørrekamre og en tørrelade er bevaret og delvis genopført på grunden i Nivå. Teglværket har bland andet benyttet smalsporet wiretrukket spilbane fra grav til værk. Senere benyttedes lokomotivdrift på stedet i takt med lerresourcerne måtte hentes længere væk. Se tilbage værende materiel her. (visit link)

Nivaagaard Brickworks (Number 1 of the series on narrow gauge)

Tile Works dating back the 1770th The current oven built in 1870 and since 1985 opened for museum guests. Similarly, retained a portion of the production facility. Drying chambers and a drying shed has been preserved and partially rebuilt on the place. The factory has used narrow gauge wire pulled rail from the grave to work. Later on when the resource of clay, near the factory, was empty they got a locomotive fitted with an gasoline engine. What is left of what drove at the railway you can watch here. (visit link)
