Small container, only room for the log, originally placed to have a glorious view of a former industrial hole in the ground
Previously part of a series highlighting the return of a large industrial landscape to nature.
The series showed various features which were industrial in the 19th and 20th Centuries, but have now had 20+ years to return to a variegated natural state, with help from additional planting.
Having travelled through the magic archway you are now away from the hustle of the road, and car park, so it's time to enjoy this secluded area. Sit and watch the waterfowl on the nearby benches, and the sun playing on the water.
(20/12/11) Path has recently been (roughly) resurfaced, so it may be hard going for pushchairs - terrain rating amended accordingly
The container only has room for the log, so please bring your own pen(cil)
20/08/18 - update: have had to move this cache temporarily due to repeated interference in the original location, so the cache name may not make sense!
