Geocache Description:

You are looking for a medicine container it is a little over 6 feet up when standing in the proper area… There may be more Muggles in the summer due to the ball diamond. Parking is actually located at Veteran's Park and the terrain is uneven around GZ! The park is closed after dark!

#9 of 11 PLEASE FOLLOW THE SERIES IN ORDER 1 - 11!

THIS CACHE IS NO LONGER A ZIPLOC CONTAINER, IT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A MICRO AS THE PREVIOUS WAS MUGGLED! BRING YOUR OWN PEN/PENCIL.

LEARN ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY WHILE GEOCACHING!!! This is the Raupp Museum’s first ever Geocaching Series!!! This is a cache series that will lead the Geocacher around town highlighting our local park history. Some of these sites may go unnoticed to the average person until they have been made aware of them. To commemorate this series 200 geocoins have been created.

You must complete the all of the sites within the series (#1 through #11) in order to follow the series properly. Do not forget to log your finds! Remember, my goal is to have Geocachers learn a little about our town’s history.

The first to find all of the caches will receive a prize inside of cache #11, a FREE Buffalo Grove history geocoin! Only 200 have been made and will not be reissued after they are gone…

BLUE STAR MEMORIAL, a tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America… Veterans Park is a large, multi-purpose park built in honor of local war veterans. There are memorials for each branch of the armed services with special engravings. The park also has a World War Two cannon and commemorative bricks that pave a circular sitting area. Sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Garden Club est 1969 in cooperation with the Buffalo Grove Amvets Post 255 and Northsuburban VFW Post 7879.

Do not forget to post photos of your adventure!
