Cache is a camouflaged ammo box 5 feet off the ground.
In the fall of 2008, we visited this location to watch the Maid Marian dragline go through the area. The nine-million pound walking drag line, used to mine for coal, is a giant crane-like machine which towers 50 metres high with a 150-metre boom and a bucket big enough to haul four dump-truck loads of earth and rock. The wide empty swath through the woods is part of the 15 kilometres the dragline traveled to its new location.
The Maid Marian is gone now, along with coal mining in the area, but the cache remains near the dragline path.
