la Bruyère L'église de la Bruyère

    La Bruyère fut un carrefour des voies de communication romaines. Mais ce n'est qu'au XIVème siècle que la paroisse est mentionnée pour la première fois.
L’église date du XIXème siècle. A l’intérieur se trouve la sépulture de Xavier Bouquet des Chaux, capitaine des zouaves pontificaux de Pie IX.

    La Bruyere was a crossroads of Roman communication. But it was not until the fourteenth century that the parish is mentioned for the first time.
The church dates from the nineteenth century. Inside is the tomb of Xavier Bouquet des Chaux, captain of the Papal Zouaves of Pius IX.
