This Cache takes you between where the cold crystal clear waters of this stream cascade and chute under the road and then free fall a few feet into the Upper Iowa River. Be sure to check those spots out.
While the real star here is Dunning Springs and Waterfall where this stream starts, but this easily overlooked spot is a little Gem itself. You can park in the large parking area near the River opposite from the entrance road to Dunning Springs. The best approach would be to head right over to this stream from the parking area and cool off by walking through it to GZ. This is a sandals and shorts friendly cache. If you don't care to cool off your feet go up to the road and cross over the stream. This involves more vegetation, but currently no nasties. You are looking for a hanging Bison tube. You are here for the location. The D/T has gone up since the stream has rerouted itself, meaning you will be standing in some shallow water now. You want to approach from the downstream of those cottonwoods as upstream in muddy. Congratulations to izaak16 on the FTF!
