Located at site of Cooks Peak old lookout
From Cooks Pass take the road towards Cooks Peak, it will end at the trailhead to Cooks Peak. The trail is uphill about a 45 minute hike to the Peak where a lookout had once been located. There is an old cabin on the south side of the peak, and a great view of the Kootenai River and valley to the east, and Burton peak across Mrytle creek drainage to the north.
