Geocache Description:

This is our first C.I.T.O. event cache that we have put on, so please bare with us.

We have teamed up with our local “Xstream Cleanup” organization, who has teamed up with the Scott County Waste Commission, and is helping out the Living Lands and Waters Organization. The Living Lands and Waters Organization was founded by a wonderful man that does great things, by the name of Chad Pregracke. You can learn about these organizations at: www.livinglandsandwaters.org and www.xstreamcleanup.org , all part of the ILiveHere Organizations and efforts of clean ups. IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING PLEASE PROVIDE TSHIRT SIZES OF EVERYONE. Reason for this as all that is needed for the clean up will be provided. These include t-shirts, water, granola bars, bags, gloves, and the vehicles and means to remove what is collected to get it hauled away from along the river.
I, Melissa, was out fishing one day and got a hold of Aaliyah(who is 10 years old) of the team, about the location and the clean up and she really wants to have this event to help out the area. Unfortunately, due to other circumstances, Aaliyah won’t be able to make it it, but she hopes everyone will show up. But maybe in the near future.
There are a lot of things that needs to be cleaned up. Everything from tires, clothes, glass, garbage of all kinds, an old rusty water heater, some pieces of concrete, and many other pieces of garbage. PLEASE DON’T FORGET YOUR BUG SPRAY AS PART OF IT, OR EVEN MOST OF IT, IS OFF THE BIKE TRAIL, ALONG THE RIVER, AND IN THE WOODS. Not sure if “grandma’s house” is nearby though. (From the story “Little Red Riding Hood”)
HERE IS YOUR BONUS AND PERKS FOR THE CLEAN UP EVENT. NOT ONLY DO YOU GET A SMILEY FOR THE C.I.T.O. EVENT, BUT ANOTHER PERK AND BONUS IS THAT FOR EACH LARGE GARBAGE ITEM THAT YOU REMOVE IN THE CLEAN UP (I.E. WATER HEATER, MAYBE A CONCRETE PIECE, OR A TIRE) YOU GET A SMILEY, AND EACH BAG OF GARBAGE YOU FILL AND HAVE REMOVED IT IS ALSO A SMILEY. SO THAT IS A SMILEYS JUST FOR ATTENDING AND ADDITIONAL SMILEYS FOR THE GARBAGE THAT IS REMOVED FOR HAUL AWAY.
PLUS YOU ALSO GET TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, MEETING THE LOCAL CACHERS, DISCOVERING SOME TRAVELBUGS, AND MAYBE PICKING ONE OR SOME UP TO MOVE THEM ALONG THEIR TRACKABLE JOURNEY, BUT YOU ALSO GET TO HELP OUT NATURE. AND LEAVE IT BETTER THAN WHAT WE FOUND IT. HOPE TO SEEE EVERYONE THERE!!!!
Please be there at 2pm cst for the clean up. Please sign in when you get there, also with Melissa (the communications coordinator) of the event. (She should be easy to spot, her t-shirt with her name on the back should give it away .)

PARKING COORDINATES ARE ACCORDING TO “MAGGIE” THE GPS. SHE HELPED IN ALSO DOING THIS EVENT FOR ALL TO ENJOY.
