Geocache Description:

On this rocky hill erected in the West, from a height of 52 meters (highest point of the town), stands a calvary.
It is found split and carved flints and polished axes that reflect the pre-Celtic Neolithic settlement.

It would not be impossible for the Mount, because of its location served as a fortified camp to the Roman general Julius Caesar, where Mount Julius and so Mount July. However this assumption is not validated because the site does not contain any trace Gallo-Roman.

Given its elevation, before the invention of the telegraph, it was used to transmit signals through the dispatches from Nantes to Meilleraye.

From the Middle Ages, there was erected a mill and three others functioned until the Second World War. One of them became a Calvary in 1925.
