建設当時は、１００体あったお地蔵さんも、行く度かの洪水で流され70体余りになってしまいました。
このお地蔵さんを行く時に何体あるか数えて、帰りにも何体あるか数えると、
行きと帰りで数が違うことがよくあるので、化け地蔵と呼ばれるようになりました。
霊庇閣 の向の岩盤には、梵字でカンマン （意味は、不動明王）と書かれてあります。
この霊庇閣の近くに隠しました。
