21 Year Cache
Mountain Bike or Hike these trails or bushwhack direct(some prickly
ash if you bushwhack). Parking lot on south side of CR 12 (N
45-17.944, W93-32.397), just east of Elk River. This park used to
be the old city dump(30 years ago). Now it is a park. I used to
ride my horse in here a lot in years past, but now it is set up for
mountain biking. Trail signs say trails for biking and hiking no
horses or motorized traffic allowed. Parking lot may or may not be
plowed in winter, it was ok when I set this cache. Bring your
mountain bike in spring, summer, or fall. I think you will find the
trails to be a good work-out. There is a charge for trail use if
you are mountain biking. I did find street parking on the west side
of the park on Tyler (under the powerlines).
