A great spot for a picnic, swim or fishing.
The Union Bridge across the Mersey River is one of the favourite summer spots around Mole Creek. With a deep natural swimming hole it's the most refreshing place to be on those days when the temperature actually does rise above the idyllic mild 24 degrees. The river banks are also popular with fishermen but best of all, on those balmy summer evenings, downstream from the bridge is often a playground for platypus. These little guys are best seen just before dusk but its always worth having a look just in case they're showing off.
Not sure about co-ords here as GPS kept shifting so have the hint handy. Oh! and be prepared for a few prickles.
