Tato kes vas privede do mist, kudy vedla v letech 1919 az 1927 lesni uzkokolejna zeleznice, ktera byla postavena pro odvoz dreva v ramci kalamitni tezby. Trat byla dlouha 12 km a mela rozchod 700 mm.

Motyl jako pricina stavby zeleznice

V roce 1917 v lokalite Cerny Les pobliz Noveho Domu zacal holozir smrkovych porostu bekyni mniskou (nocni motyl, jehoz housenky se zivi jehlicim a zejmena ve smrkovych monokulturach mohou zpusobit velke skody). V nasledujicich letech doslo k rozsireni kalamity i na okolni smrkove reviry Alzbeta, Korunni princ Rudolf, Maxova obora, Hana a Leontynsko. Vytezeno muselo byt cca 600 tis. kubiku dreva a toto drevo bylo potreba rychle dopravit na pilu ke zpracovani.

Protoze povozy mely malou kapacitu, ktera nemohla pro odvoz dreva z kalamitni tezby ani zdaleka stacit, bylo rozhodnuto o stavbe uzkokolejne zeleznice. Ta mela rozchod 700 mm, delku 12 km a vedla z nakladiste Cerny les kolem hajovny Tri Stoly na nove vybudovanou parni pilu u nadrazi v Revnicove. Tato uzkokolejka byva take nekdy oznacovana jako "mniskova zeleznice".
Nove zalozena spolecnost, ktera zpracovavala drevo v Revnicove, se jmenovala LESNA a 90 % akcii drzel knize Furstenberk. V roce 1921 zamestnavala temer 300 lidi a pracovalo se tu na peti katrech ve dvou smenach.

Stavba a provoz zeleznice

Projekt zeleznice zpracoval Ing. V. Plenkner a knize Furstenberk poskytl zdarma pozemky, po kterých mela byt uzkokolejka vedena. Pri stavbe zeleznice pomahalo take cs. zeleznicni vojsko z Pardubic, a tak jiz v roce 1919 mohl byt na trati zahajen provoz. Ten obstaravaly dve parni lokomotivy StEG c. 3642/1909 a Sigl WNM c. 4985/1909 a topilo se v nich bud drevem nebo uhlim. Voda se doplnovala z jam, ktere byly pro tento ucel vyhloubeny kolem trati.
Uzkokolejka mela jednu odbocku, a to k dolu na uhli na Motolce. Uhli bylo potreba nejen pro lokomotivy, ale i predevsim pro stroje na pile v Revnicove.

Odbocka k byvalemu uhelnemu dolu Motolka je stale dobre patrna

Trat byla v provozu az do roku 1927. Dnes jsou v nekterych usecich velmi dobre patrne naspy ci naopak zarezy byvale trati. Casti nekdejsi zeleznice jsou vyuzivany jako cesty, a take pri pohledu na letecky snimek je vedeni trati docela dobre patrne. Pokud se vydate ke kesce doporucenou cestou (viz nize), pujdete cast cesty prave po trase byvale zeleznice.

Naspy nekdejsi zeleznice jsou i dnes dobre viditelne

Ke kesi

Kes je ulozena pobliz odbocky k dolu Motolka, schranka je klasicka lock-lock krabicka o objemu 0,5 l a ke skrysi se da dojit ci dojet na kole po ceste, zvladnou to i kocarky (alespon nas ctyrkolovy to zvladl). Pro nalezeni neni treba nikde hrabat, staci se poradne podivat a zamyslet se - nebo pouzit hint. Pomerne casto zde muzete narazit na houbare; pak je na miste opatrnost pri vyzvedavani/ukladani kese. V pripade vetsi snehove nadilky muze byt odlov trochu komplikovany, ne vsak zcela nemozny.
Pro zaparkovani vozidel pouzijte nektere z doporucenych parkovist (viz waypointy). Obe parkoviste propojuje docela pekna lesni asfaltka (zakaz vjezdu automobilu + zavory), ze ktere se da na dvou mistech odbocit (viz waypointy) cca vychodnim smerem na cestu vedouci ke kesi. Tato odbocujici cesta vede prave po telese byvale zeleznice. Dobry lov!

History Of The Railway

The railway was built in 1919 and in 1927 was closed. It was built because of forest disaster, caused by caterpillars of the moth (Lymantria monacha). A lot of trees had to be cut down and there was necessary to move the wood to the sawmill in Revnicov. But the capacity of horse wagons wasn’t suitable and this was the main reason of building narrow-gauge railway.
The railway has one turn – it led to former coal mine Motolka. The coal was used for the locomotives and for the machines in the sawmill too.
Nowadays, you can see a lot of traces of former railway in terrain – like embankments and cuts.

About The Cache

It’s a small lock-lock container, volume is about 0,5 l. It’s placed near the railway’s turn to the former coal mine Motolka. See the waypoints for parking and recommended turns from the paved road. Happy hunting!
