Little Big Cat Series - Tigger Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Steve-e-b: Sadly it's the end of the road for Little Big Cat Series.
I have decided to archive because I can't get out to maintain them. The big cat series disappeared long ago, so maybe it's time for a different series in this area.

Geocache Description:

A series of five caches on a 2 mile circular walk near Lowsonford.

Tigger is a, er, Tigger, who appears in the second book of Winnie-the-Pooh stories, House on Pooh Corner (1928).
Tigger is a stuffed toy who is friendly and enthusiastic. This is evident in his joy of bouncing, which doesn't go down well with some of the other inhabitants of The Hundred Acre Wood. He is often over confident, claiming things which quickly turn out not to be true: e.g. liking honey (chapter 2), climbing trees (chapter 4) and never getting lost (chapter 7).

Despite many similarities, a Tigger is not a Tiger. Throughout the book the term 'Tigger' is used to refer to Tigger himself and the type of animal. And, since no other Tiggers appear in the Winnie-the-Pooh books, it is safe to say Tigger is the only one.

There are two ways to retrieve the cache. Use a tool if you don't feel sure-of-foot. You may find a suitable tool along the path or, if luck's not on your side, there is plenty of material in the woods near Bagheera.

If you are starting the series at Lowsonford this will be the first cache. If parking at the pub be aware that there is a short (200m) stretch along a road where there is no pavement.
The path can get muddy under the trees, so sturdy footwear is advisable.
