Havnbjerg Mølle.

Vindmølle ca 4 km sydøst for Nordborg.

Havnbjerg Windmill.

Windmill about 4 km southeast of Nordborg. It is a Dutch windmill with basement and ground game, the mill is built in granite, and the octagonal over the mill's wooden thatched with straw, like the boat-shaped hat. The mill was built on a 49 m high hill in 1835-1836 to replace a post mill at the beginning of the 1600s, but was rebuilt after it was toppled in a storm in 1776. A few hundred yards from the mill is an even older building at a slightly lower high. It is Havnbjerg Church, which dates from Roman times.
Harbour Mill Mountain has always been a grain mill, but in a period comprised vrksomheden also bakery and brewery. The Dutch windmill originally had wings to sail cloth, which was by and rammed by the miller, and krøjede (wings turned into the wind) through a game. In 1907, the mill underwent a modernization, so this work almost automatiseredes because it got jalousi-/klapvinger and wind rose. Stråtækningen replaced in 1923 by a cheaper zinc cladding, and despite the recession following World War II continued to operate up to 1961. One stormy night the wind rose year did not turn the blades, and a costly repair was necessary, so mills Peter Johannsen, whose family had driven Havnbjerg mill for almost 200 years, had to give up.
Havnbjerg Mill was listed in 1964, and by a thorough restoration, which ended in 1967, was the stråtækning his back. The mill is one of the few remaining mills of its kind in Denmark.
Mads Clausen Foundation took over the mill in 1969 and has since been repaired several times, including in connection with the Persians (brake) was destroyed, and the mill ran rampant in the third hurricane December 1999. Turbine hat and krøjeværk was thoroughly renovated in spring 2009 to May 2010.
Havnbjerg Mill is operational and running on opening day, if there is enough wind, but it did not grind grain.
Hours: Wednesday 9-15, June-July-August also Saturday 9-15
