The cache is in a small green ammo box. The views are quite panoramic. Once you make it to the cache, you may want to enjoy the view for awhile. Easiest access is from the trail on the residental side @ N 33°17.768; W 112°02.240.
We call this cache "Fore" for good reason. Bring along a driver and a few golfballs (or scour the hillside for freebies) and smack a few from the driving range after your hike.
It's a short, scramble hike to the cache. If you bring small children, it's probably best to leave them behind with Mom, Dad, Grandpa, or Grandma (there are a couple of great benches on the path to sit and view the driving range).
We started this cache with the following:
- DeLorme Topo USA Southwest CD
- "Gorp, Glop, & Glue Stew" Outdoor Cookbook
- Hand-crocheted dishcloth
- "Where's George" dollar bill
(be sure to log the bill in @ www.wheresgeorge.com)
- Arizona Recreation & Historic Site Map
- American Flag Decal
- America West Airlines Keychain
- Tiros Golfball
- Miniature Checkers Game
- Toy boat
- Curt Schilling Fridge Magnet
- "Head Chairman" Figurine
We hope you all have fun trying to find this cache in our neck of the "woods".
