Geocache Description:

Welcome to Hillesden, home to a large number of deer (walk beyond the cache location to find them, and a stile with real style, or try the other lane past the church, at right-angles to this one), musket holes in the grand church's door, etc etc. Should be a QEF but I don't suggest it's a drive-by due to lack of turning places and private roads about 20ft past this cache. Which makes its location placement an odd curio, to my mind...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally LB15-1986, part of the Life Begins series. The info below is from that era and is now out of date. It's been left here for the reference of past finders.

Short Description: The Life Begins cache series is an autobiographical trail set to celebrate my turning 40 in November 2011. I've always said I prefer getting to my 40s to the alternative. Don't forget to answer the question in red on the log and make a note of the number! You should get four chances to get each figure in order to find LB40-Bonus!

This cache: A small cache for a change.

Biography: Will follow.

Wider world: Will follow. Number 1 on my birthday: Berlin's Take My Breath Away.

Where next: You could backtrack and take the biggest stile in the world you ever saw which you passed earlier, or carry on around Hillesden Church (pop in to see the musket ball damage to the oak door, caused during the English Civil War, and read about the famous battle) to get to LB16.
