Hvad er en kimsleg? Rudyard Kipling, der har skrevet Junglebogen, har også skrevet en bog om Kim. På et tidspunkt skal Kim genkende nogle ædelstene, han kender dem ikke i forvejen og er ikke god til at beskrive dem. Herefter trænes Kim, også med andre genstande, således at han bliver bedre og bedre til at huske detaljer. Herfra kommer navnet kimsleg.
