Cache is a fifty caliber ammo canister hidden along the Ridge Trail at Tygart Lake State Park. The cache is located less than 30 feet off the trail.
Ridge Trail is less than a mile long. The end of the trail near Picnic Area 1 is nearer to the cache than the other end of the trail. The trail is somewhat steep in parts but easily hiked with children at least four years old. There are a couple of streams to cross along the trail. There is also a split in the trail near the park office. One fork takes you down the hill to the other end of the picnic area. The other fork takes you near a very nice house on the hill almost directly across the park road from the park office. One end of the Lake Trail is not far from the first fork. One end of the Woodland Trail is not far from the second fork.
