Beaver 101 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Footstick: After five years with almost 100 logged visits, the cache has disappeared again--possibly a victim of recent high water. Seems like a good time to put it to rest. The beaver activity that was so obvious when we placed it has fallen off, so there are no new chews. Thanks to everyone who looked for it, found it, or left encouraging, inspiring, or informational messages. Happy caching.

Geocache Description:

Park at the north boat ramp or shelter #5. Take trail along the backwaters of the Mississippi River. Flat trail but watch out for trees across it.

You'll be amazed at all the beaver activity here. Many chews and downed trees. You may see an eagle or two as well. The cache is a plastic jar that smells of garlic cand is overed with gray duct tape. It has a log and a pencil inside. We will put some toys in soon. Updated cache 8/20/14 with new container (still smells of garlic), log, and pencil.
