Geocache Description:

NO: I Nansens fotspor, powertrail
ENG: In Nansens footsteps, powertrail

NO:

God tur!

ENG:
Fridtjof Nansen (born October 10, 1861 in Aker, died May 13, 1930 at Lysaker in Bærum) was a Norwegian polar explorer, explorer, diplomat and scientist. He received the 1922 Nobel Peace Prize for his major international efforts for refugees after the First World War.

The trip from "riksvei 21" north of Ankerfjella and into the deep forests of Frithjof Nansen Hotell near Bjellåstjern is probably the most classic of all walks of Østfold. Here we are on the same trails that Mr. Peder Anker brought with him King Haakon and Fritfjof Nansen in the early 1900's.

Frithjof Nansens Hotell is simply an accommodation space under a rock hammer, in exactly the same place where the famous national hero boiled their coffee after hunting 100 years ago.

The journey passes through varied terrain, but are not particularly demanding. This powertrail show you the right way a long way, because the marking has become quite bad.

The cache is very easy to find, and are children friendly.

Good luck!
