PMOGUY: After 14 years of geocaching I am done. Caching has become a game of numbers.... Last I checked the number of caches on the planet have exceeded 3 million. 3 million plus caches .... a vast majority of them placed solely for a smiley. When I began caching it was an adventure and caches had a payoff, a cool destination or journey to the cache and also a "smiley". Now most cachers waddle from their vehicles stamp or sign the log on power trails and are off to the next WTF cache... Walk? Bushwhack. rarely... Yes there are still some decent caches out there but GC admin is in it for the $$$ so they promote and allow caches that are nothing but geotrash littering the landscape clogging the search engines with their numbers. By the time I owe for my annual premium member dues all my caches will be archived. Laziness and greed have destroyed a once fun sport.
