Geocache Description:

I went out today and placed a series of micro and nano caches. Some will be relatively straight-forward to find while others will take a bit longer to find.

Trails and Cache Info

The trails and the parking location are only open from sunrise to sunset. Replaced the missing cache on 26 January 2013 with a key holder. Please replace carefully to ensure that it will not accidentally get washed away.

For more information about the Portola Valley trail system, please see: Portola Valley Trails.

Difficulty Levels

The difficulty levels are only accurate if no hint is used and the cache is placed back in the original location for the next cacher to find. While hints have been provided for all the caches, please be aware that a few of them will be spoilers as some of the narrower parts of the trails can be really busy with muggles. Hopefully, you will have as much fun as I did.

GPS Accuracy

I used two GPS receivers and sampled each location three times over two days. Due to dense tree cover along some parts of the trail, GPS accuracy will vary quite a lot.

Parking

I discovered ideal off-road parking at the trailhead to the Lake Trail with enough room for two cars and decided to place a cache here to mark the spot. There is also great off-road parking spot at the intersection of Willowbrook Drive and Alpine Road with enough parking for anywhere from twelve - fifteen cars. Further parking is possible along Willowbrook Drive.
