Retratos de Guimarães

No primeiro fim-de-semana depois da mudança para a hora de verão, é uma boa altura para aproveitar a hora extra de luz e vir passear e fotografar Guimarães.

Com as intervenções levadas a cabo durante os últimos meses e com a presença da Capital Europeia da Cultura a cidade está de cara lavada, com mais gente nas ruas e com muitos motivos de interesse.

Tragam a vossa máquina fotográfica quer seja compacta, DSLR topo de gama ou até mesmo o telemóvel, não importa o equipamento. Venham conhecer melhor Guimarães, passar uma tarde de convívio e tirar muitas fotografias.

O passeio será feito a pé e começará às 16h30 junto ao Castelo de Guimarães, onde existe estacionamento, descerá ao centro histórico, passará pela antiga zona industrial de Couros, Alameda de S. Dâmaso, Toural e regresso ao Castelo. Apesar do percurso não ser muito extenso, prevejo uma duração de 3 horas. Trata-se apenas de um passeio.

Não é nenhum concurso, não haverá qualquer tipo de competição ou prémio.

It’s the first weekend after the DST change and a fine opportunity to enjoy the extra hour of sunlight and take lots of pictures of the city of Guimarães.

During the last months, Guimarães had it’s city centre renovated for the 2012 European Capital of Culture and is now full of people and new reasons to be discovered.

Bring your camera, even a cellphone will do, and join us for an afternoon full of pictures.

The walk will start at 16:30 near the castle, where there’s plenty of free parking space, will go down to the UNESCO World Heritage site, pass through the old industrial area, city centre and back to the castle. It’s not a long walk, but I’m predicting about 3 hours to do it.

It’s just a photo walk. There will be no contest of any kind.
