How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Not too hard except last 200 yards. Follow the split rail fence.

The initial cache is stashed with 20 small American flags that flew on 9 combat missions over Afghanistan. There are pictures in the cache to prove. You can park at N40 16.484 W074 19.045. If you find this cache, be courteous to other geocachers. Please, only take one flag (even if there is more than one person in the group). This site now has ties to three American wars (There is the Revolutionary War battlefield. Behind the house across the highway was the site of a major Union training camp during the Civil War. Now, there are the flags that were present on 9 combat missions over Afghanistan). This cache is not to celebrate war as one individual suggested on the discussion board. Rather, this cache was created as a small reminder of the sacrifices that we all must make to ensure our freedom. I can't think of a more appropriate site for this.
