THIS EVENT
Where: Cowleaze Wood, Watlington, Oxford, Oxfordshire. OX49 5HX. Former site of the Chiltern Sculpture Trail.
When: From 7pm on Saturday April 7th 2012 - Easter Saturday.
What: A chance for those who didn't make it to the launch party in Swansea or any of the Countdown to the Geolympix events since (#11-Oxford #10-Berlin #9-London #8-New York #7-Poole, #6-Oxford-2, #5-Bristol or #4-Edinburgh) to hear more about the Geolympix, discuss caches, caching and cachers and swap travel items in dark and eerie surroundings. There will be Geolympix freebies available on a First Come First Freebied basis, as well as items to buy to help support this not-for-profit event.
Plus!: This event will have an optional night-time Easter Egg hunt in the wood, with suitible prizes for finders of special objects hidden amongst the trees! £1 per person entry, all profits to help pay for the Geolympix.
Who: All cachers welcome! Children especially (the egg-hunt ends when all the eggs are found) and dogs too! - You don't even have to be interesting in the Geolympix Mega or the Egg Hunt. You can just come for a geo-natter. New to caching or cache events? You're especially welcome!
Don't Miss: Metal Bijou's Countdown to the Geolympix #3 - Lewknor which is only a few miles down the road, on the evening of Tuesday, April 17th. It would great to see you there too.
THE GEOLYMPIX
Where: The Oxford Town Hall, Oxford, UK. A convenient, central location and a historic venue and surroundings.
When: The main event (GC22T2T) is on Sunday July 22nd 2012, with a full programme of events - including CITO and Night Caching - around it.
What: An international celebration of geocaching, featuring a series of events and challenges to make this a Summer Festival of Caching! With all profits going to charity, a chance to find 11 Icons in 11 Hours and fill up your D/T Grid locally, plus a wealth of other features - talks, debates, sales stands, geocoins and more - we hope you'll love our plans.
Who: Cachers from far and wide. It's being organised to be a GeoKid & GeoDog-friendly programme.
