The cache is located at Marion’s “Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center” located at 4500 Tenth Street, just north of Linn Mar High School. This is a multicache with stage one being a “Micro” and the final is an “Ammo Can”. Should be an easy find and family friendly.
It should be an easy hike to the first stage and final on surfaced trails.
Please be careful of mugglers.
If you have never been here before you are in for a nice time caching and enjoying nature. Since this park has opened the land(180 acres) has been developed and many changes have occurred over the years. Including the center with art which can be viewed from 8 am to 5 pm during the week. Also the small pond and flowers around the building should be investigated by all.
Please Note: Dogs are only allowed on the trail and NOT in the pond and garden areas.
Closer to the cache you will see a large pond with a windmill and in the distance baseball fields and soccer fields that were being added in the last couple of years.
If you visit in the Spring, there could be a blaze of wild flowers along the trail. Enjoy the hunt. Please observe the park hours and rules. Richard Fox Director of the Marion Parks Dept has given permission for the hide.
