Short hike on an easy access trail system in Somers. Small lock-n-lock not far off the trail.
We recently realized that in spite of the explosion of caches recently, there were none in Reis Park, home of our town library, Fourth of July celebration and little league fields. So we decided to seed the park with a few. The first is a small lock-n-lock just off the yellow trail a few minutes into the hike. These were the first trails we walked when we moved to the area nearly 20 years ago, before finding far more extensive and interesting trails. Nowadays the system is mainly used for the school track teams, so that would be the extent of muggle activity. Plenty of parking by the fields. Starting inventory is log book and pen, toy compass, bouncy ball, magic water beads, rubber ducky and a dual headphone jack. Happy caching! Congrats to Old Bet for FTF. Sorry about the coordinates... between the foliage and an overcast sky I couldn't get closer than 11 foot accuracy. Should have said that earlier. Thanks to grschmid for updating those.
