Number 1 in the series of 20 caches
Welcome to The Zider Zeries.
A walk of approximately 4 miles in the vicinity of Ashwick, Oakhill & Harridge woods.
There are 20 caches to be found over mostly level ground with only a couple of small uphill climbs en-route.
You will walk a few knee length meadow fields, so boots are advisable.
Parking is available for a few cars at the co-ordinates for #01.
Although most of the route is on footpaths there are some areas where it is necessary to walk the lanes, These will be “quiet” back roads but they still get used.
You will also need to cross the busy A367 main road so please be cautious with younger cachers.
There are parts of the walk which pass near livestock, So dogs would need to be kept on a lead at these times.
All caches are placed on or within a few feet of public footpaths. You may also have to contend with the odd electric fence, which should have crossing points.
As with most walks, you’ll get nettles in the summer and in the winter you’ll get mud. Please ensure that you stay to the footpaths and close all gates behind you.
Bring your own pen as some caches none are supplied.
Finally Please re-hide the cache container well and as you found it.
All honest comments good or bad to improve this series is welcome.
