another forgotten location. nice short easy hike. a few nice views. enjoy! Tide Way Island Memorial Park moved from original location... little side trail(ish) and think BIGGEST and NW
beginning our journey on the trail noticed alot of storm ravaged trees. the path is clear and if in the end of summer you like thimble berries this is the place to get some. they're everywhere! if your fortunate enough to come visit between may - july you will begin to hear a rather prehistoric sound. its the cormorant parents comforting their chicks. you can tell when you get close because the leaves have the tell tale sign of their nesting area. we heard thousands of chicks and parents chattering all over the area. take time to read the info board on them, quite interesting.
at trails end there are a few very old growth trees, one in particular has a rusted out cable that is now partially embeded in it. GPS may be a tad bouncy. becareful not to go to far as there is a drop off close by.
