Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to the Østerby beach; surprisingly few people visit this beach. Mostly local people or visitors to the nearby school or scout cabin.

Engelsk:
When you're at the Østerby beach you can see all the way to Germany. The distance across is only 7km, so it's tempting to take a small boat and just sail across, but due to strong currents you may want to consider this carefully.
The beaches on this side of Kegnæs are changing rapidly; the moraine landscape shows its nature here, so when there's been a period of high tide, the beaches look very tempting, but during low tides the sand is washed away, thus revealing the rocky underside.
The seabed is very slowly descending, so you can go pretty far from shore before it's getting very deep. Excellent beach for children.

The cache contains only the log, so bring your own pen. Please be very careful replacing the cache!
